“Some of the greatest remixes out there sound so unlike the original track you almost double take when told what it is. If it were not for Lucy’s distinctive vocal you’d be hard pressed to know this was a remix.
Part of the riff of the original is almost detuned on a western style piano and chucked over banging Techno percussion. The vocal comes in little bits here and there during breaks and it’s only right near the end that you get the full piano riff. Very, very good.”

“The Drums is a big-ass growler. Actually, it sounds a bit trancey but is most definitely techno. It has a rolling edge to it with tabla sounds peppered around the mix. Stylistically, this is very multi-layered with Spanish guitars coming in part way through; leading to a slightly trancey atmosphere. Saying that though, it does add a commercial edge to the track which may have its detractors but myself personally, I can see this getting a few spins. The final mix is by Brent himself, my fave mix, and he takes the track back to the start, delivering a re-edit of the original and taking it down a different path. Actually, its not a re-edit. Its more of a remix and its a good one. All in all, this is fairly funky and offers some interesting takes on the track. I like. 8/10″

Stop start beats are in dispersed with short synth stabs before this builds into the more usual tech structure. The main synth chords are held back to create an uneasy feel, this is about as tech as you can get without being full on techno, very little lead and masses of bass and percussion.”
